DAY 1: NAIROBI → On arrival, transfer to the Nairobi Serena hotel, for one night.
DAY 2: NAIROBI → TSAVO WEST → Your safari begins this morning with a drive south to Tsavo West National Park. After lunch you will experience your first game drive and a visit to Mzima Springs frequented by hippos and crocodiles and if you are lucky you will see them wallow and retreat around the crystal-clear waters. Stay overnight at the Kilaguni Serena Lodge (approx. 240km).

DAY 3: TSAVO WEST → AMBOSELI → After breakfast, drive to one of the most popular parks in Kenya, Amboseli National Park, home to around 900 elephant. Located near Mt. Kilimanjaro, the world’s tallest freestanding mountain, weather permitting you will be able to witness the snowcapped peak. Amboseli National Park offers the chance to encounter magnificent herds of elephant. Following an exciting afternoon game drive, you will spend two nights at Ol Tukai Lodge (approx. 160km).

DAY 4: AMBOSELI → Experience early morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli National Park, where, with its low vegetation, it is renowned as one of the best wildlife viewing areas in Africa. Look out for lion, buffalo, zebra and a diverse range of birdlife. The park’s dry and dusty form is due to the volcanic ash that came from Mt. Kilimanjaro on its last eruption, yet the lush green areas are a result of a continuous water supply from the mountain’s melting snow
DAY 5: AMBOSELI → ABERDARE → Drive via Nairobi to Aberdare, with lunch en route in Nairobi. You will then check in to Outspan hotel, and leave the majority of your luggage here in order to transfer to Treetops, your spectacular viewing perch for the night. This unique property is famous as the place where Princess Elizabeth ascended to the British Throne in 1952. Game is attracted by the saltlick and waterhole and with four spectacular viewing decks and a rooftop platform, it is the ideal place to capture incredible close-up photographs (approx. 400km).
TREETOPS HOTEL
DAY 6: ABERDARE → SAMBURU → Enjoy an early morning tea at Treetops then return to the Outspan hotel for breakfast and to collect your left luggage. Drive north to Samburu National Reserve where you will spend the next two nights at Samburu Lodge situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ngiro River. Experience the African desert at its best and as a lesser known park it is less crowded, with game drives on both days giving you the opportunity to hopefully spot leopard, lion and cheetah. This is the dry, north of Kenya and the reserve attracts wildlife not often seen elsewhere. Look out for gerenuks – a unique gazelle with a long neck that stands on its hind legs to feed (approx. 176km).
DAY 8: SAMBURU → OL PEJETA → Drive south to the Sweetwaters Camp for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Visit the remarkable Chimpanzee and Rhino Sanctuaries. Incorporated within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the sanctuary is the only place in Kenya where the highly endangered and remarkably intelligent chimpanzee can be seen and houses the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. Dinner and overnight stay at Sweetwaters Serena Camp, experiencing the charming ambience of under-canvas living (approx. 240km)

DAY 9: OL PEJETA → LAKE NAKURU → Drive via Thomson’s Falls to Lake Nakuru for lunch. Lake Nakuru National Park is home to flamingos (seasonal, dependent on water level) as well other migratory birds and rhino. Enjoy an afternoon game drive. Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge (approx. 176km)

DAY 10: LAKE NAKURU → MAASAI MARA → Drive to the awe-inspiring Maasai Mara and take an afternoon game drive. Spot prides of lions basking in the shade, seek out an elusive solo leopard and have your camera at the ready for other spectacular wildlife including cheetah and hyena. Three nights at Keekorok Lodge (approx. 245km)

DAY 11: MAASAI MARA → Early morning, mid-morning and afternoon game drives in the Maasai Mara game reserve or perhaps take an optional balloon safari (extra cost)
DAY 12: MAASAI MARA → Another full day in the Maasai Mara with early morning, mid-morning and afternoon game drives.
DAY 13: MAASAI MARA → NAIROBI → Return to Nairobi (approx. 256km) in time for lunch at Carnivore International Restaurant, after transfer to your respective hotel or JKIA for the your next arrangements.
